PSMA Announces Fifth Annual APEC Attendance Grant Program

he PSMA is again offering a Grant to selected student applicants for attendance at the Annual APEC Conference. The Grant is to support an Undergraduate or Graduate student’s attendance at the APEC Conference by providing up to $1000 to reimburse travel and hotel expenses for the recipients. There will be a maximum of 20 grants awarded for APEC 2010. Awards granted to students from the same institution will be limited. However, the award may be shared by applicants from the same school.

Application for the Grant should be sent to the PSMA office through the web site http://www.psma.com.

Applicants should be enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate Power Electronics program at a recognized educational institution. The application requires certain information:

Brief Description of Career interest and reasons for attending APEC
Title of Paper submitted to APEC, if any, with complete list of Authors.

Applications must be received no later than October 23, 2009.

Grant recipients will be notified by November 9, 2009.

Grants are a reimbursement and will be made by check (in US dollars), unless arrangements are made in advance before APEC. The checks will be issued after receipts are provided to the Industry-Education Committee.

All Grants will be awarded at the Discretion of the Committee.
